Camping and caravan site History

Our camping and caravan site is open to the public „the whole year round“. The entrance for cars of all kinds is closed from 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. and from 10.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. (with the exception of emergency vehicles and the like) in order to guarantee a period of quiet leisure for our guests.

In 1992, we – the Köllner family – bought the camping site from the town. Drawing on our experiences of more than 30 years in connection with camping sites on the Baltic Sea and in the Luneburg Heath, we restructured the whole place which is now harmonically blending with the landscape and the small town of Wusterhausen/Dosse. It is directly situated on the eastern shore of the Klempow Lake. (1992)

The restaurant “Zum Campingfreund” includes a small shop and ice cream parlour. In order to increase the offer of leisure activities for our guests, in 2000 a fitness studio with swimming pool and bowling was set up on the camping site.

New washing and WC facilities were built and the existing facilities were completely modernized. (2005)

The parcelled out and decoratively planted camping lots for permanent annual stays and holiday stays have access to paved lanes. (Site entry 2007)
